French and English tuition
Our passionate, experienced and qualified teachers are specialised in planning lessons around their students’ interests and learning styles. Private, two to one or small group classes are all available throughout the year at our school in Verchaix or online. Find out about our different courses.
Subsidised Professional Language Training Courses
We are a certified professional training centre. This means you can use professional grants to study with us, kind of like tax back.
If you pay social charges in France, then you’re entitled to training funds to use toward your professional development. This includes foreign languages.
Whatever your industry, we can customise our language programmes to provide you and your team with the French skills needed for your activity. Different options exist for employees on contract, auto entrepreneurs/independent workers, managers of larger businesses or their staff.
Avancée assists companies & individuals with the entire process, from finding the initial documents to the end of course dossier. Our process is transparent, and you’ll find the full details here. Our website provides a simple online form which includes a needs, availability and level assessment. This information allows us to create your personalised programme.
This form is the easiest way to provide all the info in one simple step. It takes between 10-20 minutes to complete. We’re also always happy to discuss options face to face, of course!

Translation Services
We provide translation from French to English and from English to French for websites, books, apps, menus, letters. For a quote, just email us the document or word count, however big or small.
Please note we don’t translate official documents such as birth/marriage certificates, but we’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.
Coworking Space
Remote working has become huge in the past few years, and while it can be a great way to restore the work-life-nature balance, sometimes the line blurs between home & work.
We’re open non-stop Monday to Friday and our kitchen / coffee area ensures you have an efficient but social place to focus. Our booking system makes it easy to reserve your workstation by the half-day, full-day, week or month. We can offer the space for meetings & private bookings – just get in touch and we’ll do our best to meet your needs!

Language Lessons for Children
Engaging, play-based French lessons designed just for kids! Through games, songs, and creative activities, children build confidence and develop a love for the language. Our teacher brings French to life in a warm, interactive environment where kids feel excited to learn, laugh, and make friends along the way.
English Reading & Writing Support: designed for English-speaking children who live in France, to help with their English language literacy. Email us at English Club for more info.
Language Exchange Events
Several times a year the Avancée team organise nights out for our learners of French & English to mingle and practise their skills in the wild!
