Based in Verchaix, Avancée Formation is at the centre of the Giffre Valley, easily accessible from all the villages that make up the Grand Massif Resort as well as other nearby towns such as Châtillon, Taninges and Mieussy.
The founder, Jennifer, started teaching French & English in the area in 2013 after returning to her home region after 10 years in London where she qualified and worked as a language teacher. In 2020, a first school in Samoëns was opened, in partnership with our big sister, PDS Formation in Morzine, who we’ve had a relationship with pretty much from the start.
In August 2023, we moved from our small premises in Samoëns to a bigger and more efficient, modern space in Verchaix, a move we & our students are delighted with!
We’re a small team of 4 permanent teachers, and we all have 2 things in common : our love for teaching, and for the area we’re lucky to live in.
